Counselling & psychotherapy

Counselling is a way of exploring your difficulties and feelings in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting, which can help you to make sense of these.

Talking to a qualified counsellor offers you the opportunity to become clearer about your issues. This clarity can in turn help you tap into your own resources so you may respond more effectively to these difficulties.

Another benefit of engaging in counselling is the understanding you may gain, in how your past experiences and current behaviour may be linked. Working with these insights, you gain the opportunity to choose alternative, healthier behaviours.

Clinical supervision

I am a certified supervisor and my training was with the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD London).

Supervision is a joint endeavour in which a practitioner with the help of a supervisor, attends to their clients, themselves as part of their client practitioner relationships and the wider systemic context.

By doing so, they improve the quality of their work, transforms their client work, transforms their client relationships, continuously develops themselves, their practice and the wider profession. (Hawkins and Shohet)
